The presentation of the first has taken place the MS-21 plane for flight tests in Irkutsk

IRKUTSK, 8 Jun — RIA Novosti. The new medium range MC-21-300 passenger airliner is for the first time presented on Irkutsk aircraft factory, the correspondent of RIA Novosti tells.

The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Prime Ministers Arkady Dvorkovich and Dmitry Rogozin, the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, and also the president of the MS-21 company developer of Irkut corporation Oleg Demchenko have participated in a ceremony of "vykatka" of the plane.

Display of the line boat was preceded by the show program — gathered on Irkutsk aircraft factory have shown video installation, also the short program was made by the famous pianist Denis Matsuyev.

"A few years ago we have decided to make the plane which will take the worthy place on a world aviation market. We are sure that MS-21 will be the best in the class. Today I want to thank designers, engineers, workers, heads of the entities — we have enclosed in the plane not only the most advanced technical solutions, but also have put all the heart and soul" — Oleg Demchenko has told during the presentation of the plane.

The head of "Irkut" has noted that "vykatka" of the plane is "only the beginning". As have reported journalists the day before, the first flight of MC-21-300 will be performed by results of land working off at flight-test station in December, 2016 — February, 2017. Receipt of the domestic certificate and the first delivery of the MC-21-300 planes to the customer are planned for the end of 2018.

The family of the MS-21 planes is oriented to the most capacious segment of the world market. The composite wing of big lengthening, the increased diameter of a fuselage, engines and systems of the last generation are capable to cut operating expenses, to increase comfort for passengers and to meet requirements of perspective regulations for impact of environment.

The MS-21 family includes two models: MC-21-200 is expected transportation from 132 to 165 passengers, MC-21-300 is capable to lift aboard from 163 to 211 passengers.

The plane can be operated in all climatic zones.

MS-21 will give to airlines the chance to reduce turn-around time at the airport by 20%. Broad central pass and luggage regiments of rotary type allow passengers quickly and conveniently to make landing and disembarkation.

At the moment there are "firm" orders for 175 line boats, "soft" - on 100 machines. At the same time "Aeroflot" has ordered 50 line boats, the beginning of deliveries — 2018.
